Im using a MyRepublic modem Im using my own modem
When you set up your connection for the first time, it's important to ensure that your MyRepublic modem has been set up correctly. This article will take you through how to plug your modem in depending on your type of connection
2 - Checking your connection type (What equipment is needed)
It's important to understand your connection type as each different connection will require different equipment to set up your service. This article will help you understand your connection type and how to connect your devices.
3 - Testing a direct connection to your modem (Testing if it's a Wi-Fi related issue)
A common cause of no internet connection is actually a Wi-Fi signal problem. If you have an ethernet cable, please connect your device (e.g. laptop or PC) straight to the modem using one of the available yellow ports at the back of your MyRepublic Modem. This will establish if it's a Wi-Fi issue or not. If a direct connection solves the problem, try these tips to get your Wi-Fi working.
4 - Making sure it's not only a single website you're not able to connect to
Sometimes an internet connection issue is actually a specific website problem. If you can’t connect to Google, check another website to make sure that it’s not just them. You can use IsUp.me to check if a website is down for everyone or just you. You should also check the website using a different browser to see if your usual one is having issues, (e.g. Microsoft EDGE if you use Google Chrome). You can also troubleshoot unique website problems here.
